การใช้ so และ such
We use so+ adjective/adverb
เราใช้ so นำหน้าคำคุณศัพท์ หรือคำกริยาวิเศษณ์ ให้ความหมายว่า ''มาก''
Ex. I like Suda and Sunee. They are so nice.
Fon doesn't like this movie, it is so stupid.
We use such+noun OR such+adjective+noun
เราใช้ such นำหน้าคำนาม และหน้าคำนามนั้นจะมีคำคุณศัพท์หรือไม่ก็ได้
Ex. I like Suda and Sunee. They are such nice people.
Fon doesn't this movie, it is such a fool.
Fon doesn't this movie, it is such a stupid story.
เราใช้ so และ such เพื่อที่จะเน้น คำคุณศัพท์ หรือ กริยาวิเศษณ์ ในประโยคนั้นให้เด่นชัดยิ่งขึ้นกว่าเดิมEx. It is a beautiful day, isn't it? It is warm.
It is a beautiful day, isn't it? It is so warm. ( =really warm )
It was a great holiday. We had a good time.
It was a great holiday. We had such a good time.( =a really good time )
เรา ใช้ ...... so ........ that ...... ให้ความหมายว่า ''จนกระทั้ง''
Ex. It was so cold that we stopped playing.
มัน(อากาศ)หนาวมาก จนกระทั้งพวกเราหยุดเล่น
The book was so good that I couldn't put it down.
หนังสือเล่มนี้ดีมาก จนกระทั้ง ฉันวางไม่ลง
เราใช้ ..... such ....... that ...... ให้ความหมายว่า "จนกระทั้ง"
Ex. It was such a cold weather that we stopped playing.
อากาศหนาวมาก จนกระทั้งพวกเราหยุดเล่น
It was such a good book that I couldn't put it down.
มันเป็นหนังสือที่ดีมากเล่มหนึ่ง จนกระทั้ง ฉันวางมันไม่ลง
เราใช้ so long, so far, so much, so many etc.
Ex. I haven't seen Suda for so long.
I didn't know Mongolia was so far from Thailand.
I'm sorry I'm late, there was so much traffic.
เราใช้ such a long time,such a long way, such a lot etc.
Ex. I haven't seen Suda for such a long time.
I didn't know it was such a long way from Thailand to Mongolia.
I'm sorry I'm late, there was such a lot of traffic.
